HeiGIT (Heidelberg Institute for Geoinformation Technology) conducts research on and with geographic information and makes it freely available for the benefit of the environment and society—for example, for researchers, aid organizations, and associations.

We are looking for a student assistant (8-10 h/week) to support our TIGr-Team as soon as possible.

Your tasks:

  • Further development of our QGIS plugin (improving existing features, developing new functions)
  • Active work with Python, the Qt GUI framework, and QGIS/pyQGIS
  • Use of version control (git, GitHub)
  • Creation and maintenance of technical documentation

Your profile:

  • Basic knowledge of Python, QGIS (or QGIS plugins), and Git
  • A strong sense of initiative and motivation to learn new topics
  • A meticulous, structured, and independent approach to work
